In addition to new work by Michelle and myself, we will also be showing a series of landscapes by local photographer Richard Legge…AND prints by illustrator David Sparshott.

Richard Legge is a photographer based in Thaxted and is our first guest exhibitor. He has been commissioned by Vogue, Vanity Fair, Blueprint, the Telegraph, the Observer and the Guardian and has captured celebrities including Alan Whicker, Raymond Blanc, Cathy Burke, Mark Strong, Matthew Modine, Ron Arad, Gavin Turk and dozens more. Richard will be showing a selection of land and seascapes at our next open day. The atmospheric images are shot traditionally on medium and large format film for maximum image quality. Prints can be ordered to any size – framed or unframed.

Richard and his wife Jo were at college with Michelle in Norwich and lived close to us in North London. Rich and I have worked together on a few projects, most recently on various projects as part of the Musto re-brand.

David Sparshott

David Sparshott is a freelance illustrator working in Brockley, South East London. He graduated from Bristol School of Art in 2006 and has since been working for a wide range of international clients including The Times, Tropicana, Grant Thornton, Howies and British Land. David also lectures at UWE Bristol and runs drawing workshops for London teenagers with The Architecture Foundation. David has exhibited in London and Berlin, and has a forthcoming show in Paris in February 2011.

Since our last open day in the summer we have updated these products with a china cup produced by McLaggan Smith who make top quality cups for brands including Keep Calm & Carry On, Orla Kiely and St Jude’s. We have also updated the design with a few more village names and found a new supplier for our tea towels. All products are still manufactured in the UK.
