Acoustic [my arse] as they say – guitar and mandolin musicians playing blue-grass, jazz, folk, pop and classical arrangements. Wingin’ It are Adam Bulley and Chas Mackenzie, a duo from Scotland who are happy to take advantage of latest technology with samplers and other kit to accentuate their sound [they had a lot of gear – should’ve taken a photo]. Also part of The Halton Quartet there’s very skillful speed picking and story telling between tunes… including a Britney Spears classic.
The Bluebell Inn hosts a diverse program of acts from across the musical spectrum playing folk, blues, ska, pop… whatever takes the hairy landlords fancy. As the birthplace of Dick Turpin it attracts international acts who take the opportunity to stay in a traditional English pub and use it as a warm-up venue.
