Film champions the special aesthetic qualities of analogue techniques – glass matte painting, multiple exposures, mirroring and masking. With no post-production, all the effects are created in the studio, within the camera and without any digital equipment or processesing. An unusual vertical format with sprocket hole margins creates a strip of film which accentuates the Turbine Hall space – the architecture and windows featuring within the film itself.
35mm colour and black & white portrait format anamorphic film with hand tinted sequences, mute, continuous loop, 11 minutes.
Large front projection; projection booth; free-standing screen; loop system; seating.
