Sharkey 18.02.07

This is Sharkey. We’ve met him a few times collecting shark’s teeth on Walton beach. Here he is showing off his prize find. Out of season seaside town’s are strange. They are a cliche. We made the mistake of visiting the Co-Op as it was closing. Queues of old ladies buying bottles of vodka and scratch cards. Boys in peaked caps buying cans of Stella and litre bottles of Diamond White. Old bearded fat blokes with their Special Brew. Walton’s full of extremes – there’s a definite underclass but also a lot of commuters, wealthy young families and retired couples. A lot of money being spent renovating the victorian houses on the sea front.
