Invited to An Evening With Typo party at the London College of Communication and had a look round the work by graduating students on Graphics, Media and Interactive Design courses. It really is a very diverse and inventive show, evidence of genuine focus on research leading to innovative solutions – here’s a very non-exhaustive selection of projects that caught my eye.
‘Orchard Estate’ is a photographic project by Hannah Blackmore in which she interviews and photographs her neighbours. Also another series on closed shops in her home town of Ramsgate.
‘Facebook Live’ by Vanessa Yeo. Reinventing Facebook for the real world. Especially like the FRIEND REMOVER WIPE.
‘Bumping Courtship Chest’ by Soomin Kim.
From a series of posters, folded and gathered in a card wallet to create a catalogue for the show.
