Becoming Henry Moore 23.04.17

It’s 8 years since I last visited Henry Moore’s house and gardens at Perry Green. That was a grey day in early April. Today was like Summer and seemed much later in the year.

The new exhibition Becoming Henry Moore covers early development from 1914-30. Examples of early school and college work, his time at the Royal College of Art, the work of his contemporaries (inc. Gaudier-Brzeska, Hepworth, Picasso, Underwood) and his Aztec and African influences.
