Early start and into town for 9.30. First stop Leagas Delaney to thrash out the do’s and don’t’s of the advertising campaign. Bought some music in the new FOPP store on Tottenham Court Rd – Black Uhuru, Magazine and new Pharrell album. Then down to see a venue south of the river. Had some time to kill so went to the Constable exhibition at Tate Britain. They have brought his 6ft paintings together with their 6ft working sketches which was very interesting. The sketches were fantastic, better than the final thing in most cases. The Hay Wain is amazing to see in the flesh.
Met Catherine and Kirsty from Saatchi at the venue, which looks good. Had a pint outside a pub waiting for a phone call and this sign was across the road. Love to visit but glad I don’t live here any more. Then out of London before rush hour – home by 5.
