A fantastic exhibition which covers the full range of Klein’s work from his era-defining black and white reportage street photography monographs on New York, Rome, Moscow and Tokyo to fashion photography and photogram experiments, painting, graphics and film. It is a big show – it covers a lot. Images are reproduced at full wall scale, as big as possible. The show is paired with a similarly scaled exhibit of Daido Moriyama’s work who was heavily influenced by Klein’s New York photo book.
Enamel painted contact sheets reproduced at massive scales.
Photogram experiments for Domus magazine.
